I attended HRH revision lectures as well as the group classes held throughout the year, and found them extremely useful. Andy’s in-depth explanations of difficult content and practical advice allowed me to build exam technique and approach the new study design with confidence.
For any HHD student, I would highly recommend taking advantage of the variety of resources offered through the Health Resources Hub. I found their regular emails with helpful quizlets, new youtube video links and revision documents incredibly helpful to prepare for my SACs throughout the year, along with HRH's exam preparation sessions to revise for the end of year exam. Despite HHD being a content heavy subject, the resources Andy has provided were really valuable not only in reviewing key concepts but also in supporting me in my VCE year to ultimately do my best. Thanks for all your support!
Good morning Health Resources Hub team,
I just wanted to reach out to say a huge THANK YOU. I received a 48 in HHD this year, and your free resources played a significant role in this.
Throughout the year, I utilised your YouTube videos and resources included in the newsletters to consolidate my understanding of difficult topics and improve my exam skills. These videos were always clear, helpful, and most importantly, accessible.
Overall, studying HHD was something that I genuinely enjoyed as a result of the resources available to me. Thank you for your work and the impact it has!
Regards, Lauren :)
Despite feeling well-versed with the HHD study design, I decided to join Andy's HRH Exam Preparation Group Classes to enhance my understanding. These sessions allowed me to ask Andy questions directly as we covered each AOS, and his prompt responses helped clarify my misunderstandings and avoid confusion. I also found it helpful that, for each session, Andy went through common mistakes to avoid so I would not make the same ones.
Andy worked with a student from Haileybury in 2025 for targeted HHD SAC and Exam tutes. On the morning ATAR results came out the following message was received from his mother 'Good morning Andy, S got 50 for HHD. Thanks heaps for your help.'
Hello Andy!!

Last night’s PD was wonderful. The extended response question in both exams and SACs can feel daunting for students and teachers alike. While the format isn’t new, it was reassuring to hear that many of us are on the right track when it comes to scaffolding; from breaking down questions and identifying key facts to guiding students through the planning process. I found your classroom strategies particularly valuable, offering a clear, step-by-step approach that helps students focus on the process rather than the final product.
The new resources from HRH are an excellent head start for 2025, and the new study design. Not to mention a timesaver! The PowerPoint closely matches the student workbook and provides opportunity to use my own “old” curriculum resources in conjunction with the new resources from HRH. I like the ability to direct students to knowledge and skill building activities in the workbook that will complement classroom activities I have already developed, and this provides a structured approach to my planning for next year. Being the solo unit 3 / 4 teacher in my school this is invaluable.
Not only is he great to work with; Andy's delivery was engaging, his content was relevant and clear, the students loved his presentation style and he boosted their confidence moving forward into exam preparation.
Highly recommend, we are definitely locking him in for 2025 and beyond!
They are amazing. Thankyou. The PowerPoint and the student booklets are fantastic.
Thank you very much for providing such an excellent PD. Prior to Friday’s presentations I did not feel totally confident about the assessment criteria, and also about some of the nuances of a number of the changes.
Andy's comprehensive lectures on each Area of Study have proven to be invaluable to our learning process. Through the provision of clear examples of content my students have experienced significant growth in their understanding. Andy offered insightful breakdowns of exam questions and techniques. The timing of these lectures, scheduled post-SAC, has been particularly beneficial, ensuring that students engage with the material when it's most relevant, fostering a deeper appreciation for key health skills. As a teacher listening, I have also been able to refine my practise and benefited from them as much as the students.
The SACs from HRH are just what I have been after in regard to allowing the students to really pull together and display what they have learnt. This I feel, has built confidence in them – which is so good to see. The answer guide allows myself as a teacher to then further support the students and also increase their learning when debriefing their responses. This has been exactly what I have been looking for – challenging but very well done!
Recently I had the pleasure of attending an HRH online course. As an experienced teacher, yet new to HHD, I was aiming to learn the content and wrap my head around the assessment protocols. I attended a long teacher PD with another company earlier in the year, yet I learned so much more from you in this shorter session. You nailed it.
